Is it safe to throw my phone?
Throwing a handheld device carries real risk. HURL shows a safety briefing before every throw and is for players 18 and over. Always throw in a clear, open space away from people, pets, and anything breakable — you assume the risk. Consider a case and a soft landing.
Do I need an account to play?
No sign-up, email, or password required. HURL creates an anonymous profile on your device automatically — you just pick a display name to appear on the leaderboard.
How does HURL measure my throw?
It uses your phone's built-in accelerometer to calculate the velocity of your throw in real time. The raw motion data isn't stored — only your final velocity is saved to your records.
How do I delete my account or data?
Open Settings in the app and tap Delete Account to permanently remove your profile and all of your throw history and records. For more detail see the privacy policy or email [email protected].
